Qui-Gon Jinn war ein Jedi der zur Zeit der Alten Republik lebte. Er war der Meister von Xanatos und Obi-Wan Kenobi. Er wurde mit Obi Wan als Botschafter des Obersten Kanzler Valorum nach Naboo geschickt um dort eine Verhandlung mit Vizekönig Nute Gunray zu.
